You can then develop steps to drive improvement. You also have the option of getting a more detailed and personalised strategy by forwarding the results to us directly from your iphone.

Instructions to complete the iPhone Assessment
1. The introduction section of the App outlines the key elements of any business success. The App is based on the BusinessExcellence.ie model for Business Success.
It is defined as following -
A successful business has a clear vision, strategy and objectives. These are clearly communicated to all employees, who understand and accept their roles and responsibilities. The business develops and delivers products and services that add value to their customers. They understand and improve the processes that deliver those products and services.
They follow a cycle of

2. The main index window contains several sections.
The first section 'Business Success' outlines the key concepts of business success as outlined above.
The 'Business Assessment' tab links to the assessment process.
The 'Glossary of Terms' outlines explanations for a series of improvement techniques and tools.
The 'List of Courses' outlines the courses available at www.businessexcellence.ie.

The 'Assessment Scoring' link outlines the scoring mechanism used in the assessment.
3. Click on the 'Business Assessment' link to reveal a window to complete the assessment and review the results. It is also possible to make comparisons against previous assessments. Finally it is possible to get a detailed roadmap by sending your completed assessment to BusinessExcellence.ie.
The first link is to the list of Strategy assessment questions.
The second link is to the list of Product & Services assessment questions.
The third link is to the list of Process assessment questions.
Once the questions have been answered the results can be viewed in the 'Results' link.
It is possible to view the results as either a Bar Graph or Radar plot by clicking on the appropriate links.
The 'Compare Assessments' links allows you to make a comparisons between several assessments. This is useful if you want to track progress.
Finally if you wish to obtain a personalised roadmap based on your assessment then click on the final link to submit your assessment and details. We will reply with suggestions within 48 hours.
4. When you click into the Questions section you will find a series of statements with a range of answers.
The possible answers are
- Not Relevant
- Non Existent
- Very Weak
- Weak
- Strong
- Very Strong
- Excellent
Slide the button from left to right to the appropriate level for each question. It is a self assessment and hence you need to be true to yourself.
It is important that you think about each question and benchmark your business against other businesses. Look at other businesses within your sector as well as businesses in other sectors.
The data can be viewed in several forms. Each section can be viewed as a Bar Chart or the entire assessment can be viewed as a Radar plot .
Once complete then you are in a position to develop your own roadmap to success.
